Advertising on billboards in Athens has recently been outlawed. What remains; tall massive structures framing blank, white, massive space. For so long these boards were a prominent tool of communicating an idea. The sheer size, persuasive. Now blank, this image is more meaningful than
ever before, especially within the socio-political context occurring in Greece at this very moment in time. This void reflects the uncertainty of our time and furthers informs Eleanna's work. Here the white spaces of the billboards contrast its surroundings, shifting our focus from assumed subject, to the actual matter surrounding the image.
